39 House Dems defy Obama; Vote for Upton ‘Keep Your Health Plan Act’
Thirty-nine Democrats joined 222 Republicans in the House in voting for the Upton bill, which would allow insurance companies to continue sell and upkeep plans outlawed under the Affordable Care Act.
President Obama has threatened to veto the Upton bill, in spite of the fact that it provides a legal avenue to accomplish much of what Obama promised to do in yesterday’s press conference.
