Said T. Jawad is Afghanistan’s former ambassador to the United States, having served in that capacity from December 4, 2003, to September 22, 2010

According to his website, Jawad has a position at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University as Diplomat in Residence and was named the inaugural Fisher Family Fellow at the Future of Diplomacy Project at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

The photo he posted this morning, which has been circulating on the Internet for at least three years, is an obvious fake.

[Update]

The initial version of this post stated that Awad is a Diplomat in Residence at the “John Hopkins University.” The correct name of the university is “Johns Hopkins University.” This error has been corrected.
