Left’s desperate argument against Romney ad: Obama is a dreamy singer

Over the weekend, Team Obama viciously mocked Mitt Romney’s patriotism in an ad set to the GOP candidate singing “America the Beautiful.”

Today, Team Romney is out with a singing Obama ad titled “Political Payoffs And Middle Class Layoffs.” But the president isn’t belting out anything patriotic. Instead, he serenades his donors with “I’m so in love with you,” a line from Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.”

The ad slams Obama for having a lot more love for the donor class than the middle class. Middle class prosperity is clearly a joke to President Back-Scratcher. He’s way more focused on picking corporate winners and losers and spreading the wealth to donors at the expense of taxpayers.

Who does Obama really want to help? Himself.

Progressives, of course, can’t shoot down the ad’s claims. Pesky truth and facts, always getting in the way! So instead, they’re trying to turn this into an Obama-Romney sing-off.

The difference between the OFA ad with Romney singing and Mitt's ad with PBO singing is that the Pres can sing his ass off. #p2 #tfy

Romney's new ad showing Obama singing is apparently meant to demonstrate to female voters that the President is a sexy mofo. #p2

Why would a Romney attack ad show Obama singing "Let's Stay Together?" It's just one more thing Obama's way better at. #p2

Just love the new Romney ad with Obama singing . It works well for Obama. I just love watching him sing that song! Makes me smile!

Really, guys? Your best argument is “Obama sings better, so shut up”? Going for the American Idol vote?

If that doesn’t work, there’s always the racism argument.

#PayOffsToLayOffs is the latest GOP dog whistle to the base who already assume all black men are criminals.

Good luck with that. We love the smell of desperation in the morning.

Update: As you might have noticed in the embed above, YouTube has pulled the video (very quickly, we might add) due to a copyright claim from BMG Rights Management, presumably over inclusion of the Al Green line.
