NH GOP HQ reportedly vandalized, Dem state senate spox calls it ‘hilarious’
Jesus may not be available to offer his political insights, but it’s a pretty safe bet that he would not condone vandalism to make a political point. Strange, then, that a thug (or thugs) would invoke his name to spray-paint someone else’s property. But that’s apparently exactly what’s happened:
Keith McCrea, spokesman for Democratic State Sen. Martha Fuller Clark, didn’t seem to have a problem with it. In fact, he thought it was funny:
McCrea deleted his tweets, but not before they could be captured and preserved for posterity:
The New Hampshire GOP released this statement:
“It is outrageous that a high ranking staffer for a prominent Democrat elected official would call vandalism to our headquarters “hilarious” and say that it means Republicans “hate Christ.” Senator Martha Fuller Clark and the New Hampshire Democrat Party need to immediately condemn these despicable comments and make it clear that they do not condone vandalism in politics,” said New Hampshire Republican Party Executive Director Matt Slater. “As the leader of the New Hampshire Democrat Party, Governor Maggie Hassan should also condemn these shameful political tactics so that Democrat activists understand that this kind of rhetoric has no place in our political discourse.”
Only after being outed as a jackass did McCrea apologize:
Too bad for him, the internets are forever.
Better luck next time, pal.
