Obama: We can’t waste time with ‘endless debate’ over immigration reform

By

Presidenting is all about action, baby! And nobody knows that better than Barack Obama. During his $1.6 million post-campaign campaign speech today, he stressed the importance of “moving forward” on Shamnesty:

President Obama: “If Congress is unable to move forward in a timely fashion, I will send up a bill based on my proposal” #ImmigrationReform

Obama says if Congress doesn’t act on immigration reform, he’ll send up his own bill “and insist that they vote on it right away.”

“Do what I want or else”? That’s our Barry!

Obama: If Congress fails, I will send up my own bill. . . #ooo

Oh sh*t, POTUS gonna INSIST Congress vote on his bill right away!

“We can’t allow immigration reform to get bogged down in endless debate” [email protected]barackobama, yeah, who needs debate anyway, whatever

So, Obama is calling for speedy passage of a bill that hasn’t been released yet. Great.

New way to pass bills.Push a bunch of press releases, do lots of media. Rush debate, ram thru bill before people can read it. The Obama way.

Obama “will insist” congress vote on his bill. I forgot the “insist” clause in the Constitution.

— Jonah Goldberg (@JonahNRO) January 29, 2013

So did we. Then again, since when has he let the Constitution stand in his way?
